Helping Independent Thinkers Start and Grow Successful BusinessesTM
Building A Solid Business In Any Economic Conditions
Do you want to go from this?
To this?
In this economic environment?! Yes, you can. Actually, history has shown that economic slowdowns and even recessions produced some of the most innovative products. Here are some examples:
A decade ago, Singapore Airlines recognized its best customers were business and first-class travelers flying transcontinental routes. The management cut back on short-haul routes, added long-haul routes, and invested US$300 million to improve business and first-class service. This innovation kept Singapore Airlines profitable when all the other Asian airlines were impacted by the currency crisis in 1997.
During the recession of 2001, Intel Corporation invested a significant amount in improving the manufacturing process of its chips. This resulted in smaller, faster, less expensive chips and led to the company's 2003 revenues as one of the highest growth rates in 7 years.
During the last recession, Apple invested in developing the iPod and iTunes products, which are now ubiquitous.
These companies have fully recognized and applied the wisdom of Chinese philosophy of "In crisis, opportunity". During heavy storm some people make shelters to protect themselves. The progressive minds build wind mills and profit from selling power to the shelters. In any economic environment there are overlooked opportunities ready to be explored and new products to be developed. Most of the time, the new product ideas come from trying to solve a problem or deal with the crisis. They often start with a drawing or a diagram on a napkin.
If you have one of these ideas-on-a-napkin, don't toss it. It can bring millions of dollars and solve a problem for many more millions of people.
My professional experience is finding new growth opportunities in places otherwise ignored and turning ideas-on-a-napkin into reality. New market segments, geographical expansion, new distribution channels, or new product/service offerings are just few ways to achieve growth in any economic environment. Targeted, aggressive marketing and PR activities increase brand awareness, recognition, and market share.
I am ready to help you or your organization achieve similar success. Send me an email at Success@DanielaAxinte.com. Don't wait for the hurricane to hit; build your wind mills now!

PS About the logo - It is from one of my paintings, Message from the Future, painted in 2005 after being strongly impacted by Ayn Rand's The Fountain Head. Although I am an advocate of self-reliance and self-sufficiency, I don't share Ms. Rand's philosophy of not helping those in need. In the contrary, my whole life revolves around the philosophy of teaching and mentoring others to become self-sufficient. Once you taught somebody how to fish and provided him with the right tools, you not only set him for life, but you also help start a new fishing industry and jump-start the local economy. Learn more.
